Casa de Arte is a magical place with intense colors and organic shapes, just as butterfly wings, hummingbird feathers or the foliage of the helicon plant would catch one´s eyes. At Casa de Arte a painting becomes a playful and beautiful way to express life.
In our exhibition rooms, you will find a magical world of color and shapes, complemented by our beautiful gardens, which attract many native birds, butterflies and insects. In addition to its permanent display of artworks, our gallery offers a space to relax and rejuvenate your spirit and experience a moment in harmony with nature.

Atmosphera Art Gallery

Trough time, Monteverde turned into a cradle of art, and Atmosphera Art Gallery gathers the best of Costa Rica for art lovers from all over the world.
Atmosphera Art Gallery hosts a permanent exhibition from the best wood sculpture artists in Costa Rica, all of them incomparable works, due to the fact than all these artists use the most precious and finest recycled wood pieces, of incredible colors and of great natural beauty, employing as models our people and our flora and fauna.
Many of the artists and artisans that exhibit their work at Atmosphera Art Gallery are self taught,  there for the originality and talent is reflected in each piece, affirming that the inspiration in our small country is unique.

CASEM – Handicraft Center – Monteverde

CASEM is located 300 m before the Cheese factory in Monteverde and is the most important handicraft store in the area
Founded for the purpose of making and offering handcrafted articles for the visitors, who are attracted by the natural beauty.
We offer a large selection of articles like decorative wall hangings, eyeglass cases, bookmarks, table linens, dresses,curtains, jackets, shirts, etc.
Wood work like tooled jewelry cases that retain the beauty of the natural wood grain. Exquisitely hand tooled jeweled designs in a variety of birds and

butterflies, earrings, pins etc.
You will also find a workshop on site, where you can watch some of our staff painting, sewing, designing and making our
products.

Hummingbird Gallery

The Colibrí Gallery is showing the photographs of the biologists Patricia and Michael Fodge, who work for the famous magazine National Geographic. There is also an exhibition of paints of the artist Sarah Dowell and selected handicraft from different groups of Indians of the country. In the gardens of the gallery you will find a great variety of hummingbirds with its amazing color, excellent models for your photos.
The gallery is located 50 meters before the entry of the Monteverde's Reserve.
Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
